Vacation apartments in Barcelona
Barcelona is one of the largest tourist destinations not only in Europe, but in the world. For a comfortable alternative to hotels, consider choosing short-term apartment rentals in Barcelona that constitute a successful and secure market in Europe.
Rental apartments in Barcelona cost less than hotel rooms of comparable sizes, and yet offer you a real home where you would love to come back after a day out in Barcelona.
You get all the advantages of independent living and working in a rental apartment: you may choose to cook in a fully-equipped kitchen, you may entertain guests in the living room, you have the privacy of your own bedroom. Would you have all that in a hotel? More and more travellers prefer to rent an apartment in Barcelona for these reasons.
If you frequently travel with family or friends, you know how difficult it may be to book adjacent spacious rooms in a hotel. 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom apartments in Barcelona are easy to find. What is more, you pay per apartment, not per guest, which allows you to cut rental costs considerably, and spend quality time together.
Barcelona is a city you would not want to leave and where you would love to come back, but if you are set on more exploring, we also offer apartment, cottage and villa short-term and long-term rentals all over Europe and North America!

Restaurants in Poblenou

Els Pescadors

Plaça Prim 1
Tel. 932 252 018

Rated one of the best seafood restaurants in Barcelona, which is no small feat, Els Pescadors is located in the oldest part of Poblenou, on the beautiful small square with giant trees. The fish served comes straight from the fish market, bought fresh every day, and the prices, while high, are justified by the quality of food, service and atmosphere. While fish is the focus of the menu, the meat selection is also excellent.

Els Pescadors also has a lovely terrace that fits into the coziness of the square. Reservations are recommended for Fridays and Saturdays, especially if you want to sit outside.

An excellent covered terrace, a non-intrusively stylish interior and fast friendly service at Soco mean that you will be coming back here for a quick lunch or a casual dinner more often than you think. Soco is open all day every day and closes late even on Mondays.

The menu is varied and includes not only the Mediterranean fare, such as tapas and fish, pasta and risotto, but also several excellent burgers, including a vegetarian one, and home-made desserts. All the food is exceptionally tasty and fresh. The same menu is served for lunch, but is a much better deal, so do not miss out on their menú del día!

La Buena Vida

Rambla del Poblenou 59
Tel. 931 921 225

La Buena Vida is one of many busy restaurants along the popular Rambla del Poblenou, but it consistently stands out thanks to its varied menu, a great selection of tapas, a reliable wine list, and good quality lunch deals (menú del día). La Buena Vida is open year-round, with terrace seating replacing the more quiet second floor, which many regulars tend to prefer. The service in general can be a bit slow, but is friendly enough not to interfere with your meal.

The menu favourites include salad with warm goat cheese, duck magret, fresh fish, and several chef suggestions that change from day to day. Ask for the wine list, it may pleasantly surprise you.

Racó de la Vila

Carrer de Ciutat de Granada 33
Tel. 933 854 772

Tucked away in the heart of residential Poblenou, Racó de la Vila offers a rustic dining experience in a beautiful setting comprised of several dining halls with high beamed ceilings, brickwork and rustic chandeliers. Racó de la Vila serves tradional Catalan and Spanish cuisine, excellent roasted meats and fish, generous salads and a whole variety of home-made desserts.

The size of the restaurant guarantees that you will get a table even on the busiest nights of the week - Friday and Saturday. Racó de la Vila is mentioned in the red Michelin guide, and because of this enjoys mostly international public. All waitstaff speaks excellent English.

Aguaribau is a vegetarian restaurant just steps away from Rambla del Poblenou in the barrio of Poblenou. Offering vegan options along with the vegetarian ones, it is a rare sight in the neighbourhood with such a high concentration of meat and fish establishments. Aguaribau, while being a treat for all vegetarians and vegans staying in Poblenou, would appeal to omnivores as well: delicious salads, juicy tofu burgers, vegetable ragouts and mixes can be paired up with local ecological wines, beers and even cider, not to mention healthy desserts.

Aguaribau offers excellent lunch choices ranging in price from 6.50€ to 12.20€. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 16:00, Saturday and Sunday from 13:30 to 16:30. Dinner service Thursday to Saturday only, from 20:30 to 23:30 (closed for dinner from Sunday to Wednesday).

Acqua & Sale

Carrer Joncar 17
Tel. 935 170 709

Acqua & Sale is one of the few authentic Italian restaurants in Poblenou, located between Rambla del Poblenou and Carrer Marià Aguiló in the heart of the neighbourhood. The restaurant is open normal Barcelona hours for lunch and dinner (approx. 13:00 to 16:00 and 20:30 to 23:30).

Our favourite thing about Acqua & Sale is its delicious pizzas, made fresh to order in the authentic wood oven, not to mention that it is one of the most affordable items in the menu. The rest, while generally okay, is more expensive than most other restaurants in the area, and can be a letdown due to the price and execution.

The interior of Acqua & Sale is another of its strong points: it is open, but feels cozy and not crowded thanks to the high ceilings and open kitchen right next to the bar. There is also a piano in the corner that guests are welcome to play if they like.

La Biennal

Rambla del Poblenou 76
Tel. 934 854 725

Just like La Buena Vida, La Biennal is a good choice for dinner on Rambla del Poblenou, if you are looking for a more sophisticated dining experience in a stylish setting. A bit on the expensive side, La Biennal serves dishes that are well-presented and more complex than your usual Mediterranean fare, and can be paired up with several wines from their list. The restaurant has a terrace, but you can always sit inside - it is nice and less crowded there as well. The service can be slow - if you are in a hurry better look elsewhere.

Vell Poblenou

Carrer de Taulat 95
Tel. 932 250 109

Vell Poblenou may not look like much, and many would keep walking past it mistaking it for another neighbourhood restaurant/bar. While it is, partially, Vell Poblenou serves incredibly good home-made Mediterranean food, especially when it comes to rices and grilled meats - something you wouldn't expect from this modest-looking establishment. Their menú del día is standard and very good value, especially if you order a glass of wine with your meal: the staff will leave the bottle at the table to be enjoyed as much as you like.

Caffe Blu

Rambla del Poblenou 11
Tel. 932 210 971

Caffe Blu is a small cozy cafe at the very end (or beginning, depending on your perspective) of Rambla del Poblenou, after which the sea is just a stone's throw away (almost). The kitchen is open regular Barcelona hours for lunch and dinner, during which you can have a tasty salad or a good Italian pizza there, either inside or on the terrace. The café is open all day, however, and will be more than happy to serve you coffee, tea or something stronger along with a croissant or nachos. Caffe Blu turns into a bar at night, and stays open late on Fridays and Saturdays.
